Trout Fishing
We had one trout come in this week it was caught over by Whopper cove it is the skinniest trout I have ever seen caught by David Hataye 5.6 lbs
Cat Fishing
Catfish continue to be the main attraction for shore and boat anglers using shrimp , nightcrawlers, anchovies, and chicken liver are your best bet.
Bass
We had a couple of Bass caught at the shoreline of the Launch area this week and I will be posting pictures. The bass are spawning and it is recommended that you catch and release it is the only way to keep this reservoir viable.
Lake Conditions
Lake Level: 307.8
Surface Temp: 74.6
Fish Plant: We did not plant any Catfish this week we will be planting the week of the 27th.
Fish Tales
Rock of Walnut Creek no last name given caught a 6.5 lb catfish using large night crawlers on 6-4-16 at the boat-launch by the floating dock.
Chai of Oakland caught a 16 lb catfish at the shoreline over by the boat launch using shrimp. On 6-5-16.
David Hataye caught a 5.6 lb trout over by whopper cove on 6-24-16.
No information given caught an 11lb bass on the shoreline on 6-24-16.
Su from El Sobrante caught a 8lb Bass over at the boat launch on 6-25-16.
Park Information
The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during July being 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 7:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is open the hours are 9:00 to 3:00 closed on Mondays.
