Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone, we arrived to Chester Rocks around 06:00 hours, with very little current, and no signs of Yellowtail, and very slow on the Calico Bass, we made to move over to the big island (Cedros). The weather was foggy, wet, and a bit chilly. We tried many spots on the south end of the island, and with very little signs of anything, we made the move to the east end of the island.
The weather was a lot better, with a slight breeze, sunny, and warm. We would fish the east end of the island, with very little success on larger Yellowtail and Calico Bass. We would end up keeping a few keepers of Calico and releasing about 40 to 50, (5 to 8 pound) Yellowtail. It was a very slow day for the Royal today, but that’s fishing. We are making our way up the line, and will try our luck at some Rock Cod tomorrow, before we head offshore and try for some tuna (Bluefin & Yellowfin).
So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our daily events.
