Fish Report for 6-11-2016

3/4 Day BIG Bluefin Tuna

UPDATE: 1:10pm - The San Diego has called in with 7 Bluefin Tuna on the boat so far.  Five of the fish are between 75-80lbs, one is 123lbs and while talking with captain Ryan, they gaffed another fish at 135lbs after fighting it for over 90 minutes.  They have had a lot of casualties today and one fish was lost that was estimated to be over 200lbs.  

The San Diego will be fishing OFFSHORE through FRIDAY 6/17. These trips are limited to 45 people and reservations are required!  Recommended tackle for these trips is a MINIMUM of 50# monofilament!  Poppers have also been working well.

 Final Count: The San Diego's final count for his three quarter day is 13 bluefin tuna(65-135lbs) and one yellowfin tuna. Captain Ryan said it was a very humbling day with reference to the amount of fish seen and lost, so make sure to come prepared to do battle with big fish. The San Diego has finished their three quarter day trip on Thursday with 9 Bluefin Tuna.  Seven of the bluefin are between 65-75lbs with two big ones on the boat weighing in at 101lbs and 132lbs. The San Diego will be fishing OFFSHORE through FRIDAY 6/17. These trips are limited to 45 people and reservations are required! Recommended tackle for these bluefin is a MINIMUM of 50# monofilament!
