Hey folks
We just got back from a great three day trip. We were lucky enough to have Blackwater aboard who brought awesome giveaways and raffle prizes. We had a beautiful load of sardines given to us at the receivers and we immediately headed offshore to try and find some local BFT. After a short 3 hours run we started seeing steady fish. Unfortunately they didn’t want to bite, so we decided to head down the beach and try for Yellowtail.
The yellows didn’t show up till 0900 but when they did they really wanted to bite. We caught them on everything we threw. The fish were from 14-25#. We caught our fill by 1400 and started heading up the line. We did catch a handful of BFT to 40# down there as well. We will try for the big boys again closer to home.
We arrived in the BFT groud do about daylight and come 1000 were seeing steady fish. The schools were very squirrelly and we only managed to catch a couple tuna which went 125# and 60#. Lots of fish around, especially the big boys but hopefully they will change their ways soon. We leave Monday for an Island Fishing Tackle 5 day trip! Wish us luck!
