Gull Lake Fishing Report

5-22-2016
Gull Lake Staff

It was a great opening day and a wonderful start to the 2016 season! There were many notable fish caught on Opening Day so congrats to all of you. We would like to express our thanks to all who participated in the annual Bill Beckett Memorial Tournament, and a special thanks to Rick and Mark Denman, Dan Bass, Dave Lozano, Shawn Arnold, and you other " leader's of the pack" for making another "great memory"!

Memorial Day Weekend kicks off our Summer Season and we welcome you with opening arms and plenty of Monster Trout. Many of the lakes in the Eastern Sierra have recovered nicely from the drought and vacationers are very happy to hear that Tioga Pass is Now Open!

We continue to update our website and our live web cam is working. For those of you early risers, check out the live web cam at sunrise for daily inspiration. As our current water temp of 51 degrees continues to climb, so do the appetites of the Monster Trout that await you. We are continuing our aggressive stocking program of the large, and beautiful strain of Rainbows.

Whether you're a fishing nut like me or just because you love the area, we hope you'll make the time soon to visit us. Print a copy or forward this invite to a friend and ask them to join our ever growing list of "Fan's of Gull Lake." We are active on Facebook and Instagram (thanks to our un-paid, but much loved; daughter Brittany) and we're going to try and kick out a monthly "What's Going On Newsletter" and maybe some discount coupons, I said maybe on the coupons. Safe travels, and " may your fish always be larger than the holes in your net."
