Smith River Fish Report 12-30-07

Winter Steelhead is in full swing. l Start fishing on Tuesday & it looks like we will be fishing the Smith. I would rather fish the Eel?? but with this storm we just?? had & one on the way there is only one river to fish. We have what looks like a big storm coming in on Thursday &?? this will keep the southern rivers blown out. I have heard that fishing hasn't been easy but its just a matter of time before the rivers flood with fish.

I still have some day's open in Jan.3,4,5,6,8,21,22,24,& the 25th. I also have some days available later in the season as well. If any one would like to fish these day's Call me asap. 707-498-4087

Well After pretty much A grinding season on the Klamath. I left the river on a good note. After A lot of tough fishing with a few great day's in-between. My team won first place on the first Salmon & Steelhead Derby on the Klamath river. The event was put on by Friends Of Cal-Ore Fish & we raised $10,000 for our Hatcheries. Right now the rivers are on fire! If you want to catch salmon and steelhead the Klamath and Trinity are the place to do it. Looks like we will be getting some rain and we will have to wait and see what it does to the rivers but my guess is the fishing will only improve for the time being.
