Crowley Lake Update

5-10-2016
Tom Loe

Concentrations of fish can be found in several areas of the lake. Sandy Pt., McGee Bay, Hilton Bays, & Alligator Pt. have all been hot spots depending on weather conditions. Set your broken back midges, crystal tiger or zebra midges, & copper tiger midges suspended beneath your Under-cator a foot or less off the bottom in 10-19 feet. The aquatic bottom weeds are not yet a factor, & the fish are prowling on the mud looking for the larva. Use Gillies, crystal leeches, crystal emergers, or chironomid pupa patterns as your upper flies. The lake level is good, and we expect a strong season here.
