Fish Report for 5-1-2016
Cisco's SUNDAY count & report for May 1st

Channel Islands Sportfishing
Much better fishing conditions for everyone out with us today. All the boats reported the ocean being much calmer and a lot warmer compared to yesterday. The fishing was also said to be much better as a couple of our boats had to pack it up early and head home because they limited out. Morning boats had pretty much straight Rockfish but the overnight boats had awesome Lingcod fishing. Seemed like a quick week because we basically only got to fish the weekend because of that wind storm.
Today’s Fish Count: 9 boats and 233 anglers
2,432 Rockfish, 41 Ocean Whitefish, 155 Lingcod, 6 Sole and 2 Sculpin.

Looking ahead the weather looks great for this week. We are going to take full advantage of these conditions and get back on track searching for Seabass and Yellowtail. They are here and we know it. Being seen all the time on the meter and free swimmers but just not biting with regularity. Hopefully stabilized conditions will encourage them to bite and get this season kick started!
