Sac River Striper Report

STRIPER -Fishing is ON from Ward's to Verona. Pile Worms and Jumbo Minnows have been the best hottest bait. Swimbaits, Scroungers, Sardines, Anchovies and Night Crawlers also working well.
STURGEON - Anglers doing well from Ward's to Tisdale. Ghost Shrimp and Lamprey Eel have been the hottest bait. Pile worms and nightcrawlers also working well. 8 to 12 oz. needed from shore and 4 to 6 oz needed from a boat to keep your bait in place.
SHAD - Starting hear reports of them being caught in Verona and few in Shanghai as well. We expect to see the bite pick up in a week or two.
