Fish report for April 2016: The bass bite has been fantastic!!!!!! The bass are coming off their spawn so they are ready to chew. The shad being up at the surface has really brought the top water bite into play for the bass. Spooks,buzzbaits and many other top water baits are working well. We also have seeing quite a few crappie and redears being caught as well. Small crappie jigs for the crappie and live worms for the redear. For all you catfishermen we are getting towards the great part of year to start soaking that mackerel for the big kitties. Last but not least all you bow fishermen dust off those bows because the carp have started doing their spawn so get on up here.
