Next week on Saturday, April 23rd Collins Lake is hosting our first Trout Derby. It is a Family Event and we are encouraging you to bring all the kids fishing- KIDS FISH FREE and adults are $20.

This past week was packed plum full of LIMITS of TROUT being caught with no stress involved. Campers caught from their campsites and day use customers fished from shore with PowerBait of brought their boats and trolled with lures or worms.

Biggest Fish Catches this week:

Marcy Tarr- 6 lb. 4 oz. Rainbow- she trolled a Rapala Lure
Winston & Gavin Hubert- 4 lb. 2 oz. & a 6 lb. 5 oz. trout-PowerEggs
Holly- 5 pound Rainbow by her campsite on PowerBait
Traci Routt- 6 lb. 4 oz. trout from her site on PowerBait
Rhett Moran of Y. City- 5 lb. Rainbow on PowerBait by the dam
Brian Wooten- 6 lb. 4 oz. Spotted Bass
Gary Holsey- 6 lb. 14 oz. Trout trolling a lure
Limits of trout caught this week:

Ray & Margaret Johnson-trolled flashers/worms
Nor Nor Huffman & son- trolled flashers/worms
Amara & David-trolled Arctic Fox tube flies 10' down
Vicki & Jacob Jones- PowerBait off the beach
Anthony & Larry- trolled worms this is just a few of the success catches this week, there were many more but you get the idea!

Chris Hazen and his buddies fished off the beach with PowerBait this morning and hooked a total of 14 trout.

Dick Gold and his friend Denny Welch caught & released 50 bass on the east side today using tubes that were green/sparkle with a chartreuse tail. Denny just started selling these online at Believe Baits and they were trying them out, sounds like a success story
