Caples Lake is Starting to Thaw
4-8-2016
Caples Lake Resort
Hello from Caples Lake Resort on April 8th!
We already have open water at Woods Creek Inlet on Caples Lake.
Bear River Reservoir thawed on March 28th.
Historically, Caples Lake thaws 6 weeks after Bear River Reservoir.
This means Caples Lake will probably thaw by the latter half of May.
With a mild El Nino snowpack, Caples Lake should be full towards the end of June and the wildflowers will be fantastic this summer. Come and enjoy.
