My friend, Paul Rusu, and his son, Travis, did some fishing over at Lake Jennings yesterday. Here's his report, "Travis and I pulled these six guys out of Lake Jennings today. We started in the exact same spot I limited out in a few days ago. After an hour and a half and only landing 1 Trout we decided to head a little closer to the Hermit Cove buoy line. Turned out to be a good decision. First cast I threw out and I noticed the string just kept spooling off the reel and the sinker wasn't hitting bottom. I started reeling in and sure enough a Trout had bit my Salmon Egg Powerbait on the drop! Scratched out a couple more and then we had the highlight of the day. I was looking at my phone when out of the corner of my eye I saw one of my poles getting slammed. I started to reel and instantly my other pole starts going crazy. I was sure I had crossed lines and my fish was wrapped up in both lines. I get the fish in the boat and decide not to deal with the mess and cut MY LINE. Wise choice. While I was putting my fish on the stringer Travis said hey I got one on this pole too. He got to reel in ALL BY HIMSELF our largest fish of the day. Boy am I glad I didn't cut that line! Around 1200ish the bite just shut down. Probably because of the storm that was rolling in. We could have scratched out a few more fish for 2 limits but 6 was more than enough.
