TROUT BITE
The T-dock and Hermit Cove were the best shoreline locations for catching trout this weekend. Some anglers also caught trout by trolling. Rooster tails, Power- Bait, and atomic teasers were the bait of choice. 2000 lbs. of trout were stocked this week! There will be a stock- ing every week for the next four weeks for an additional 6,500 lbs. of Sierra Bows!
BASS BITE
Bass were caught from boats or off the T-dock this week. The bait of choice were shiners or plastics on the drop-shot.
CATFISH AND PANFISH
Bluegill and Redear have been caught along the Half Moon Cove shoreline and Eagle Point using nightcrawlers.
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Drew Buettgenbach, age 10, caught a 1 1/8 lbs. Redear! She was fishing Eagle Point and using nightcrawlers as bait. Fred Leinweber caught a 6.5 lbs. trout from the T-dock!
LAKE NEWS
Join us for our second annual Kid’s Day on January 30th, 2016 from 6a.m. to 2 p.m.! Children 10 years and under fish for free! Fun for all ages! 400 lbs. of trout will be stocked into our Kid’s pond– 1 fish per child. Some fish will be tagged and can be redeemed at the bait and tackle shop for prizes such as free camping week- ends, and free boat rentals.
For those who are beginning fisher- men, Fishing Uni- versity class will be held at 10 a.m. at the Bait Shop taught by our edu-cated rangers. They’ll help you rig your poles and choose the best bait and tackle to fish Lake Jennings!

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, PowerBait (Garlic or Salmon Peach), and Mini Jigs, Rooster tails
Best Bass Spots: Sentry Cove, T-dock
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Plastics on the drop-shot, shiners
Best Catfish Spots: Buoy line
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers, Chicken Liver
Best Panfish Spots: Eagle Point, Half moon cove

Lake JenningsTROUT BITE Hermit Cove is the spot to be! Anglers caught their limit of trout and a few added some blue gill to their stringers. Mini jigs and PowerBait (Salmon Peach or Chartreuse) dough work the best. 1000 lbs. of trout from Mt. Lassen will be stocked this week.
