Hey folks-
We arrived at the our destination about 1300. The ride across was civil and the weather seems to be getting better all the time. Working our way down we stumbled into a large area of spread out fish. After throwing a chum line we kicked the anchor over and the fish got on us right away, however, it was very difficult to get a bite. In past trips we hooked fish right away, but these seemed a little more wary and would eat the chum baits rather than ones with hooks in them. As the sun started to set the fish became more aggressive and we had a nice little flurry in good grade fish. We landed 15 fish from 75-135#. Lack of current looks like the culprit for the lazy fish, as the water is still warm, just no flow. Wish us luck and strong tide in the morning.
