Fish Report for 11-7-2015

Fishing Remains Steady

11-7-2015
Vail Lake Resort

We have had some cooler weather this past week. According to the weather forecast the highs will be in the 60’s and low 70's.

The Largemouth Bass are fat and healthy with the bite beginning to improve. The water has turned over, and the temp has been around 65 degrees. There is tons of bait in the water. Most anglers are throwing crank baits, rattletraps, and other various shad pattern artificials.

The Crappie bite is slow, but we have had some reported catches. Most anglers are using nightcrawlers, red worms, meal worms, and small crappie jigs.

The Catfish bite is still doing good, but beginning to slow down. Most anglers are fishing the bottom using mackerel, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers. Anglers have had the best luck fishing near launch ramp 2 & 3

Need Bait? We now carry nightcrawlers and mackerel!!

Remember, we are no longer catch and release only and all anglers 16 years and older are required to have a California fishing license. All department of Fish and Wildlife regulations apply. If you plan on spending the day with us, don’t forget to stop by on your way out and tell us how you did :)

Please contact the lakeside office at (951) 852-8426 if you have questions.
