Departing on our annual Tiburon sponsored ten day voyage I want to take a quick step back and commend Captain Paul Carramao on an exemplary job during his first two voyages as Master of Royal Star. Paul made sound decisions, was an effective communicator, and handled the pressure behind the helm with poise and professionalism. Though I am in no way surprised, the opportunity would not have come were Paul not completely prepared, it is still a tremendous point of satisfaction and pride for me personally, as one of his mentor's, and Royal Star. Paul is certain to be behind the helm on select future Royal Star voyages, and of his own vessel in the not too distant future.
As for this voyage points south again beckon. Everything is available, conditions are shaping up, and our load of bait is fine. Up now to the fish Gods and our guile daily updates will detail the feast and/or famine as it unfolds. For ceratin we are well positioned for a successful adventure with a superb group of enthusiasitic anglers ready to practice what we came for.
