Fish Report for 8-2-2015

Sunday at Cisco's - Report

8-2-2015
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Here we are already in August with no signs of things slowing down. Today we only had half our boats out fishing yet they still caught some great fish! Some boats focused on the shallows looking for Calico Bass and Bonito while others fished shallow water Rockfish. Our open ¾ day trip aboard the Gentleman had 10 Yellowtail but could have caught a lot more had they known they would blow up behind the boat like they did. Most everyone was rigged fishing toward the bottom and the fish were up top. By the time anglers rigged with sliding sinkers the fish had moved on. Just goes to show how quickly things can happen out there and to be ready for anything.

Today's Fish Count: 5 Boats and 191 Anglers

13 Yellowtail, 54 Bonito, 2 Barracuda, 61 Calico Bass, 20 Sand Bass, 1 Halibut, 60 Perch, 2 Sculpin, 35 Ocean Whitefish, 8 Sheephead, 14 Lingcod and 657 Rockfish.
