Hey folks-

We crossed the edge about thirty miles farther north than we did last trip. The warm, purple water is pushing up the coast extremely fast bringing with it lots of tuna. As soon as it was daylight we started seeing fish. Tuna hopped on the trolling jigs every time we got close to a sonar mark. We strung together multiple short stops and had one good stop for 50. When the dust cleared from our morning action we had 111 yellowfin tuna. There was a long dry spell in the action from about 1100 to 1700 were we saw pretty much no sign. The fish had gone down deep to feed on red crab and squid that we were flushing out of them. About 1700 they popped back up and we found a big sonar school that bit very good. We also landed several nice grade yellows and a few dorado. Great way to start the trip and we are headed back up the beach to try for some yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck we will check back in tomorrow.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8030 to get in on the action.
