Royal Polaris Crew
This is your special journalist, Lillian Rose, reporting for the last time this trip (if I can even type. The weather is getting rough compared to how smooth it has been). It has been a phenomenal 7 days. Currently, the young adults (they no longer want to be referred to as kids) are preparing their selfie sticks, exchanging phone numbers and adding each other on Facebook to keep in touch with their new best friends. They are reminiscing the many memories made, from Julia’s 70 pound Tuna, to Kenny’s incredible prime rib, to the terrible movie choices made by yours truly (apparently everyone is too old to watch “Dinosaur”).
There were countless hilarious moments during this trip. For example, Deron thinking that yelling, “Hey give it back please! Hey let it go!” at seals when they ate our fish would work. And of course no one will forget the new captain of the Royal Polaris, Colby Barnett, who always really wanted to know “What time it is?” Everyone will have PTSD from Seth’s constant “Goin’ out!” The crew is forever in debt to Rosalie Rose for giving them a break from Roy’s horrendous handwriting for the nightly watch list. Brian (Anthony) and Dominic Mulay will be remembered as the kids who hogged all the wifi! Just kidding. Logan and Lucas Schreiner (who are NOT twins by the way) seemed like quiet kids at first, but once paired with Matthew Young and Jett Reed, they were all laughs. Cameron Brister came out of his shell, too, when Left Right Center came out. Morgan Kammerer will remember being on a 4 day because she was asleep for the other 3! “Real” Brian Wells will be remembered for being a Dodger fan, and Corey ThomPson will be remembered for dating the captain’s daughter and for catching most of the fish.
And of course no one could ever forget the crazy fishing action (their sore muscles won’t let them). Everyone is proud of the final fish count: Limits on Yellowtail (15-30lbs), 288 Yellowfin Tuna (25-70lbs) and 1 Dorado, and 4 released Marlin.
P.S. Happy Birthday Hannah!
