Ceaser Rincon of Inglewood caught a 12 pound catfish using mackerel at the Bubble Hole in the Big Lake.
Pablo Gomez of Yorba Linda caught 5 catfish totaling 19 pounds 9 ounces, his largest at 9 pounds 6 ounces using shrimp at Johnny's corner. Jason Cho of Anaheim caught a 8 pound 6 ounce catfish using shrimp at Levitz corner. Michelle Ruin of Westminster caught 6 catfish totaling 17 pounds using both night-crawlers & shrimp fishing at the white pipe.

A group of five fishermen Kevin Valdez, Co Tang, Daniel Garcia, Leramy Phol & Phillip Bennes of La Puente teamed up to land 22 catfish totaling 43 pounds 8 ounces using mackerel at La Palma point.

Kevin Salgado of Hesperia caught 7 fish totaling 20 pounds his largest at 6 pounds using mackerel in Chris' Pond. Will Hanacheck of Fullerton caught 7 catfish totaling 14 pounds fishing at "The Road" with mackerel.

Stephen Oden of Hawthorne caught 3 catfish totaling 12 pounds 8 ounces his largest 6 pounds 8 ounces using night-crawlers fishing from his kayak in the middle of the Big Lake.

Santa Ana River Lakes is currently stocking catfish every Friday, Tilapia every other Friday and is open 7 days a week for both day & night fishing. 24 hour camping/overnight fishing is scheduled for every Friday & Saturday night, 5pm to 4pm the next day during the summer.
