Diamond Valley Lake Staff
Lake Elevation: 1650.13
Surface Water Temp: 79.5 degrees
Fish Plants: There are no fish plants scheduled.
Lake Hours: Wednesday- Sunday 5:45AM- 6:45PM
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the high 60’s to low 100's
Makenna and her dad Toby Liess of Redlands had a great time catching a 2.06 pound redear, and a 3.87 pound rainbow trout! They were using nightcrawlers near the east and west dam.
Joe Taguchi of Covina caught and released a 7.38 pound bass using a senko near the west dam!
Current Fishing:
BASS
The bass bite picked up this week! Anglers are catching them between 3-7 pounds. Senkos, ikas, and drop shotting plastics are working best for catching bass. Anglers are catching the majority of the bass off the points.
STRIPER
There has been some reports of striper being caught near the dams. Swim baits, flies and shad colored flukes are recommended for catching striper.
CATFISH
Catfish are starting to pick up! Anglers are catching them between 4-10 pounds. Cut bait, night crawlers and stink bait work best for catfish.
PANFISH
The panfish bite is on! There were many reports of panfish caught 2 pounds and under! Mealworms, night crawlers and jigs are recommended for catching panfish.
TROUT-
2 lucky anglers caught a trout this week! Nightcrawlers, rooster tails, kastmasters and bait covered in Lip Ripperz hatchery dust work best for trout. The best time to fish for trout is after a stock.
