Registrations for tours at the Isenberg (Woodbridge) Crane Reserve near Lodi have opened. Public tours will be held all Sundays, 2nd Thursdays, and 2nd Saturdays of each month starting September 24 through February 25, except October 1 and holiday weeks at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Tours involve very little walking and are wheelchair accessible. Tours are two hours long, starting an hour and a half before sunset and ending at dusk. The area is crane capital of California, hosting the largest numbers of Greater sandhill cranes, a threatened species in California. Swans, ducks, geese, hawks, herons, owls and other wildlife are often seen on these docent led tours.

On-line registration is suggested as a faster service than mail in. Go to www.dfg.ca.gov/reg2/shcranetour.
