Overnight lows in the Bridgeport area have kept the East Walker pretty iced up. There have been days when it was completely unfishable. Look for warmer tempatures to thaw out the East Walker and for the fishing to pick up in coming weeks.
Mason Valley Wildlife Area opens the 2nd Saturday of February. This includes Hinkson Slough and the Cooling Ponds.

Putah Creek Report 12-06-2006
Putah Creek**It is "fly fishing only" there all winter now. Fish the transition where the lake and stream meet about 8/10th of a mile above the lower bridge. Fish will be staging there to head up the stream to spawn this winter. Look for some Baetis (BWO) #18 mayfly and small midge hatches.
