Big Day!! A skippers intuition or gut feeling is a captains greatest tool. My gut feeling leaving the dock was just that, a gut feeling. Now that we have figured out the pattern of these fish, we will see just how good it can be..We are glad to be here all alone and all on board are happy with the call to say the least. The day started out with a ripper bite on big fish with half the boat being drug around by Tuna in the 120-230lb range! When the bite slowed and everyone was worn out there were 32 Tuna on deck with 5 of those over the 200lb mark and the majority in the 80-180lb range.. Mid day lull brought on a change of pace were we went out on the hunt and found a few Wahoo, a school of 70-80lb Tuna and 2 Sailfish were caught on that drift as well.. Around 2pm we set back up and nailed another cow, then Charlie Mcgee hooked into a real beast of a fish that spooled him very quickly, over the side went his rod with one back-up, then that one was spooled, another back-up, WOW, this fish still didn't even slow down!! We pulled anchor and went after the beast.. 2 hrs later Charlie, with the help of this amazing crew, landed a fish of a lifetime.. Way to go Charlie... Late night here after the evening hit, making more bait and going for it again tomorrow..
