We had a very fun filled day today with the bite starting out for us around 4am on the jigs and Big Baits. As the sun peaked up over the horizon with a spectacular fiery red and orange glow the Tune really started biting. We had 4-5 fish hanging for most of the morning then it settled into a steady 1-3 fish for most of the day. Just after lunch the Show really kicked into Highgear as a large bait ball was pushed out from under us and the big Tuna went off crashing through the bait. It was impressive to say the least. They continued to blast the surface for a good 15 minutes and then they rods went Bendo once again. Pete gave us a show hooking into a couple of 130lbers on the Yummy Flyer rig and Panama Joe put on a clinic today seeming to hook fish whenever he desired. Ray Griffin had a big day landing 3 nice fish and Chartermaster John Grindley also had 5 good Tuna for the day. The fish today were the stock Bank fish from 60-200+ lbs with the majority being the 120-170 class. We are positioned just right and hoping for another big day tomorrow.
