Fish Report for 9-2-2012

Great LOCAL ISLAND fishing for the HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

9-2-2012
Mike Thompson

Conditions remain solid with ideal weather, sunshine and warm temps at the channel islands. Fishing over the holiday weekend remained solid with quality red snapper and lingcod coming up for our anglers. Bass fishing has still shown improvement, and tomorrow the Island Spirit looks to continue chasing the checkerboards.

Fishing Monday we have both the Island Spirit and Pacific Eagle. First at 4:00am Mike Mings will be charging to the island in search for yellowtail and other exotics before loading up on rockfish and lingcod. Jonny Ewart has the Island Spirit lined up for a successful calico bass hunt in the kelp. Still OPEN SPOTS for both trips, in fact the day is lite on reservations. Come and enjoy this weather and lets fish!
