Soaking baits has been the best way to hook up in the southern aqueduct
5-31-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Soaking baits has been the best way to hook up in the southern aqueduct. Striped bass ate cut baits, lugworms, and jumbo live minnows after check gates. Lure fish were reported by topwater anglers. During low light conditions jerkbaits took line-sides as well. Largemouth went after finesse baits in locations with slower moving water. Topwater also took bass early in the day. Catfish anglers enjoyed nice weather while Carolina rigging cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver.
