Fish Report for 4-20-2023

The fish stocking must go on!

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

East Region Fish Liberation staff usually don't have to chain up to get fish over the Blue Mountains in April but they had to earlier this month. Despite the extended winter weather this year, fish movement is on schedule overall thanks to hard-working staff and help from county and state road crews.
Some trout stocking is delayed due to ice and unsafe conditions for fishing, including at Morgan Lake near La Grande. Be sure to check on conditions before heading out fishing.
