The Upper continues to fish well
6-13-2022
The Fly Shop
The Upper continues to fish well particularly from Simms and upstream. The Salmonflies continue coming off in and around Dunsmuir from Prospect up through Cantara. Caddis are becoming more and more prominent. Otherwise, PMDs and midges are hatching. Good nymphs now are Mercer's PMD Jigster, #18 Zebra Midge, the Perdigon, and the #18 Olive Hotspot. Also Rubberlegs. Bring some Adams #14 - 18s to cover your bases. Some of these fish are pretty aggressive, so swung and stripped Sculpin patterns are definitely a good idea now.
