The title of this report should be a huge clue as to how the fishing has been over the last 10 days.

The kokanee fishing at Whiskeytown has been excellent. Limits of the these fat hard fighting fish have been the norm. Fish size continues to steadily increase. My clients landed Kokanee up to 17 inches and easily 1.5 pounds. Most of the Kokanee have been sold  between 14 and 16 inches.

As we continue to fish through the summer months and into fall we should see Kokanee in the 20 inch class and pushing 3 pounds or more. That willl be very exciting.

I have been catching Kokanne from the surface to 90 feet. Chartreuse pink and orange dodgers and matching spoons tipped with garlic corn trolled between 1 and 2 mph have been the hot set ups for me and my clients.

McCloud Reservoir was also excellent fishing this oast week. Brown and Rainbow Trout were on the menu and pretty easy to catch. Check out all the pictures that will say it all.
