Striper fishing heats up at Lake Mead
5-7-2022
Arizona Game & Fish Department
As temperatures have warmed, fishing is getting better at Lake Mead. Right now, anglers and other lake users can enjoy the lake, but with some caveats due to dropping water levels. Read Don Martin's recent article in the Kingman Daily Miner. Please note that after the article was published, the Lake Mead Recreation Area announced that the South Cove Ramp is now closed due to low water levels. They say launching is available off the dirt road south of the launch ramp, and that four-wheel-drive is recommended. Read Don Martin's follow-up article about the launch situation. To see the current status of launch ramps at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, visit https://www.nps.gov/lake/learn/news/lakeconditions.htm.
