  • The Tribute called in this morning from a 1.5 Day trip with near limits of Bluefin Tuna for their 32 anglers. The tuna were up to 60lbs..

  • The San Diego called in this morning with 12 Bluefin Tuna on the deck, two of which were in the 80lb class. The other 10 ranged from 120 to 160lbs. A well prepared angler on these trips would have at least an 80# rig with 100 to 130# preferred..

The San Diego had an absolute knockout day today on their Full Day Offshore charter. They ended their trip with 24 Bluefin and all but 6 of their fish weigh over 100 pounds with the biggest weighing in at 170 pounds! Captain Ryan recommends having a 60-100 pound outfit, some 150-300 gram knife/flutter jigs and tackle for the sinker rig on 80 pound line. The Tribute returned this morning from a 1.5 Day trip just shy of limits with 62 Bluefin for their 32 anglers. The Pacifica called in this afternoon with limits of Bluefin for their 28 anglers. Captain Andrew reported that they had a solid flyline bite on 25/30# with most of the fish coming during the daylight hours.
