San Diego Definite Run & Half Day Report
3-15-2022
Seaforth Staff
The San Diego is a definite run for tomorrow. They have been searching hard for the Yellowtail on their previous trips and its only a matter of time before they bite. There are plenty of available spots for tomorrow's trip so if you're looking for a light load Coronado Islands trip, tomorrow's trip would be the one.A a valid passport or passport card is required for all passengers.
The New Seaforth had another good day of rockfishing in local waters. The AM trip returned with 90 assorted rockfish and 120 Whitefish for 20 anglers and the PM ended with 35 assorted rockfish, 85 Whitefish, 1 Sculpin and 1 Calico Bass. Captain Bryan has reported seeing lots of Yellowtail moving around in the areas they have been fishing. We are recommending a 25# outfit for the bottom fishing and the savvy angler would also have a 40# outfit and some surface irons or yo-yo jigs for when those Yellowtail pop up as well.
