McCloud Trout bite heating up as temperatures cooling down

It has been a couple of gorgeous days on McCloud Reservoir. The trout action was just lights out. Sun up to late afternoon the action on rainbows stayed consistent. All the trout were caught between the surface and 20 feet while trolling (1.3 mph) dodgers with yakima bait company kokanee rigs tipped and dipped in Pro-Cure shrimp krill oil. My clients caught well over 60 trout in two days of fishing. It is not to catch a limitof Trout so we released most and kept soke nice fish for the bbq and smoker. The trout are in fantastic shape and fighting hard.  The weather was spectacular mid 40 degree mornings warming up to low 80's in the afternoon. The colder nights have brought the surface temperature of McCloud down to mid 50 degrees, so swimming might be out of the question now haha.

I have dates available in November and December for Klamath Steely/Trout, Shasta Lake Trophy Brown, McCloud or Siskiyou Brown an Rainbow action. Finish out 2020 with a relaxing day on the Lake or River. Give me a call 530 905 0758 or book online at Caldwellfishing.com
