DFG's California Fishing Passport Offers Family Fishing Trips - Dana Point & San Diego

DFG's California Fishing Passport Program, in partnership with NOAA Fisheries, Friends of Rollo and United Anglers, invites you to spend a day on the water with family and friends as we host another California Fishing Passport family fishing event! In order to help bring families out, kids 12 years and under will ride free when accompanied by a paying adult.

These events are also special Passport Legacy Challenge events where experienced anglers are encouraged to team up with novice anglers to take them fishing. For those interested, teams may sign up the day of the trip. A rod and reel set will be given away to one winning team each day, and all novice anglers will receive custom Fishing Starter Kits at the end of the day to help encourage them to come out fishing again.

WHO: Adults and children of all ages and experience levels. These trips are geared for families, kids, and experienced anglers who would like to teach new anglers to fish.

WHAT: A comfortable family fishing experience aboard two spacious sportfishing boats from either Dana Point (Orange Co.) or San Diego. Experienced anglers are encouraged to bring new anglers fishing. Kids 12 and under fish free, and rod & tackle is included!

TRIP INFO:
Dana Point trip: Spend a beautiful day on the ocean aboard the spacious, new 90' Dana Pride. This 3/4 day trip will take you along the scenic Orange County coast where you will fish among the nearshore kelp beds and over rocky pinnacles for calico bass, white seabass, yellowtail, barracuda and maybe even a big California halibut.

San Diego trip: Join us in sunny San Diego for an afternoon of great fishing aboard the large comfortable 85' New Seaforth. This will be the perfect trip for the beginner or the casual angler wanting to fish for yellowtail, barracuda, calico bass, and more. Whether we end up fishing the La Jolla kelp beds or Point Loma or sail south to Imperial Beach, expect a good view of the Southern California coastline as well as good fishing.
