Capt Jeff Bunde checked in from the Island Spirit out of Ventura Sportfishing to report that they had some really good fishing today fro Yellowtail. The were biting on the really heavy line today, no line shy fish today, we got most of the fish on flylined mackeral today. We were using 50 to lb line with 12-14 inch mackeral on an 8/0 hook, we also got a few on the surface iron. The fish ranged in size from 25 to 40 lbs, a really nice grade of fish is around and biting.
