Spirit of Adventure returns with a good overall catch including 90 Bluefin, 20 Yellowtail

"Ben Frazier's Avet trip returned on the Spirit of Adventure this morning," said the report from office manager Annemarie Keating July 18, "with 25 anglers on board. They caught 90 Bluefin, 20 Yellowtail and a variety of bottom fish. Ben Chavez from Oxnard caught a 48-pound Halibut. The Bluefin were in the 50 to 80-pound range and most of them were caught the first day when weather conditions were good.

"Jackpot winner was Peter Iosifidis of Palmdale with a 89.3 pound Bluefin. Henry Garcia from Whittier took second and third place with a 82.75 and an 81-pounder."
