Traditional yellowtail havens became Bonito hell as the striped, toothy bastards hassled and harried us from before daylight through the end. Enough brazen yellows made the effort almost worthwhile but admittedly the Bonito wore our patience down. Give them an A for determination. They earned it. Weather on the rise with a freshening, stiff wind we opted to shut it down come days end safely tucked behind a coastal point providing 100% protection. Flat calm and fast to the bottom the day closed in perfect conditions our sense of humor intact. Tomorrow begins the search anew targeting coastal variety and trophy yellowtail.
