Lots of action as a day offshore in spectacular weather produced almost non stop opportunities. Plenty of "sorting" was the morning theme as kelps heavy with release size yellowtail replaced the 12-15 pound models encountered yesterday. The afternoon was a classic bluefin showing with a few yellowfin joining the party. True to their consistent nature about 99.9999 percent of the bluefin opted to show only; not biting but for an occasional hit for one, two, or three. Their day will come however. There's too many around for the inevitable reckoning to fail. Sticking to the variety program we are settled in mighty pleased with the potential and sign. Shelving trophy hunting until the back end we'll focus on the bird in hand well prepared. Enjoy today's image from the recent archive. Garry "Big Fish" Sato is the featured angler with a jumbo prize.
